This was a all about connecting to the plug of the art world as a fine art photographer. As an artist, its really import to find your tribe of people who can support and encourage as you make your way in the art world. Now one makes it in the world alone and artists really need advocates on their team that can place their name in rooms, share their work and help get them seen. Essentially, you need a tribe. That tribe is made up of like minded artists that can give you feedback, connect you to other individuals in the industry and can encourage you when times get tough! And they will. The sign of a great artist is their ability to push forward and continue to create even when they are uninspired. Its about doing the work and have like minded artists in your circle to hold you accountable is how you can stay in the zone.
The other part of your tribe is cultivating relationships with galleries, curators, and collectors. The best way to do that is to attend art functions such as gallery openings and artist talks. The world has gone virtual due to the Pandemic of Covid, but there are still art happenings taking place. You can usually find the by checking the feed of Instagram and Facebook users that are in the arts. I strongly suggest you follow them and interact with them on their pages to build out the soft connection so that if presented with the opportunity to interact more directly they will already be familiar with you
